Celebrity gossip blogger, Perez Hilton has reported that Badu is being charged with disorderly conduct for walking around Dallas while nude when filming the Window Seat video.
She will only be charged a fine, and will serve no jail time over the incident, but according to Hilton, the Sargent in charge of the case, Sgt. Warren Mitchell, says"After much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were close by," he concluded.
What do you think? Was her behavior inappropriate? Is this law being used properly if Badu was naked for the filming of the music video? Whose responsibility is it to make sure "indviduals and small children" aren't exposed to Badu's nude body? Would a man have been charged with the same crime? Is this a womens issue?
I personally think that they would probably not have charged a man with the same crime. And I also think the Dallas PD needs to chill out.
